We’ve had a lot going on since our last blog post…
- trip to DC for all three of us as David delivered his instrument to the Air Force after long years and long hours of work!
- trip to Utah for a week-long Small Satellite Conference for David
- trip to Albuquerque for all three of us to check out the possibility of moving to New Mexico. David interviewed for three separate positions with the Air Force Research Labs there, and loved one job in particular.
- the first day of school is tomorrow… I will be teaching K-5 Art and will be the chapel coordinator. Even though I could only promise to be here through November (when David’s post-doc ends,) my school decided to keep me on as long as I could stay. How amazing, right?! Getting my classroom and curriculum up and going is taking a lot out of me! My brain felt absolutely scrambled today, and I’ll be glad once things settle into a rhythm.
- Elijah will be continuing at “Wiggly Warriors” (the onsite school nursery) with his same teachers and fellow little ones. His big accomplishment is taking a 2 HOUR nap today in the nursery while I scoured my classroom’s art tables. This is the boy who only managed 20-30 minute naps at the most at the nursery (too much to do and see…) Oh, I hope this can continue!
- We are in the process of deciding between two job offers for David—one in Massachusetts and one in Albuquerque. We are still receiving information about the positions, though will need to decide within the next 2 weeks. Both are excellent positions, praise God! We are finding it very hard to weigh through the pros and cons of each, though are so thankful to have a choice. Please continue to pray for our decision! We’ll update you soon with more details—I just wanted to let you know “where we’re at” right now.
