AWANA Ceremony

We are so blessed to have Elijah and Evangeline participate in AWANA at a local church. Elijah is a proud member of Cubbies and Eva participates in Puggles. It is so fun to watch them learn their verses each week and it reminds me of the years that I spent in AWANA as a child. Once again we are so blessed by the amazing teachers at AWANA that give every week to these children.

It was precious to see all of the little Puggles up front for singing their Puggles song!

Elijah and his buddy Merek sang loudly and "hopped" during their Cubbies song.

My little helper

Eva loves helping with her baby brothers. She unzips and unsnaps when we change diapers, and she is quick to pop in their pacifiers to their mouths (the love of her life!) Today she patiently and gently fed "Goguff" his entire bottle (under watchful eye of course!) Note her paci. She's both big and little. :)

Grandparents are so much fun aren't they?

Our four happy kids!

Off to find some Easter eggs!

Found one!

The kids had different colored eggs so each could find them at their own level of difficulty! :)

Peter and Joseph's first bath

Joseph and Peter's first bath... as witnessed by a very helpful big sister!
They cried and cried...

Peter didn't think bath time was that much fun.

Neither did Joseph.  It was quite a trick to bathe a baby wearing an oxygen tube!  We are so thankful he doesn't have to wear it now.

Eva loved bathing her baby brothers!

together again!

Joseph is on the left. (He came home on oxygen mostly due to altitude and his slightly less developed lungs.  It's temporary and not uncommon in Albuquerque.) Peter is on the right happy to be with his brother again!

It's true! Two babies.  Sometimes we still can't believe it.

Mother and son feeding side by side. This was a common sight during Mom's visit!

Finally I can look at both of my babies side by side.

First time we are all together as a family of 6! Eva and Elijah are in dripping swim suits. This is real life.

I love how they often lean their heads together so they are touching.

Welcome home Joseph!

On Tuesday (4-8) we welcomed home Joseph from the hospital after being in the NICU for 11 days!

Elijah welcomed him home with confetti as he had with Peter although they both ended up sleeping through their homecoming.

He gave Joseph the little lovey elephant.

Joseph and grandma Voss enjoying some quality time at home.

Eva had a lot of trouble keeping the babies straight calling Joseph baby A instead of baby B, but we figure that's something we're going to be struggling with all our lives. :)

We are very thankful to have both our boys home with their family! We are so thankful for the staff in the NICU and the amazing job they did taking care of our little boys. We were so blessed to have such wonderful nurses who loved the babies taking care of our boys!
