Park Day

We met up with David for pizza at the park on base. The little boys couldn't stay awake for the car ride (dropping the morning nap is brutal!) After lunch we spotted Eva and Elijah just sitting on the wall, watching the planes. Perfect little moment.

First fall morning

Today was the first real cool morning of the fall. I walked out of the getting the babies to see Eli and Eva staying warm in the chair.

Fire Station field trip

Tent Rocks

We have been trying over the past month to make it outside and see some nature and we finally succeeded today. We made it to the beautiful tent rocks just north of ABQ. Although the babies were in need of a nap they did pretty well either on our backs or being held. Elijah and Eva did an outstanding job hiking the whole way. They scampered up the rocks and through the narrow passageways as if they do it every day. We were once again reminded of God's beautiful nature here in New Mexico.

Joseph really enjoyed looking at all of the people on the trail from the perch on my back. 

Eli and Eve did great hiking up the valley. 

I ended up carrying Peter for a bit as he was crying a bit. 

Eva was a natural on the hike. 

You can't really see it in this picture, but there is an owl in the upper branches of the trees. It would look down at the people passing below it, but never flew away. 

After the hike we continued up to the top of the mountain on a bumpy dirt road to a lookout that offered beautiful views of the tent rock canyon.  

A hike in the Tijeras

This past weekend we went on a nice short walk in the Tijeras just outside of ABQ. It ended up being pretty hot but nice to see some green. Elijah and Eva did a great job hiking and Peter and Joseph did pretty well on our backs. Looking forward to doing some more hiking when the weather cools off some. 

My class of 4

Peter and Joseph are more and more interested in doing what their siblings are doing, and that includes school! Here they are writing and reading. 

J+P's playdate with A+P

Joseph and Peter had their first playdate today with their little friends Abby and Phoebe. How cute are these 4?? Makes you appreciate what quads would look like as the girls are just 3 months older than our boys.
