Daddy and the Boys

In July Jamie and Eva went to a wedding back in the Midwest so it was Daddy and the boys for a FOUR DAYS!!! We had a blast (though we missed our ladies of course)!

First we saw our ladies off at the Airport. Eva was very excited to be going on a trip with Mommy (but that's for a different blog).

Any boys time isn't complete without a meal at Chic-Fil-A!

Eli loves to go fishing and we aren't always able to go, but this time we hit the local (stocked) fishing hole.

We didn't catch anything, but had a great time trying. Eli loves a bit of danger with fishing as you can see from his favorite perch.

We also hit up Cracker Barrel for some comfort food seeing as we were missing mommy and sissy.

We got to ride the train that connected the BioPark Gardens with Zoo which the J+P especially loved.

After the train we went to the aquarium to check out the fish and cool off a bit seeing as it was so hot out.

I let Eli pick out whatever park he wanted to go to so he picked a cool park I had never been to, but Jamie had gone to with the kids.

It was a lot of fun, but boy was it hot!

Of course we had a lot of down time at the house playing games and working on some Legos together! Picture below is Eli's creation he refers to as "VP" for Voss Programming (his company). Are we in trouble? :)

Shelves of Love

We heard giggling in the babies room and went in to investigate.

Small Sat Conference

This past August was the annual Small Sat Conference that I attend with Dad! Mom was gracious enough to stay with Jamie and the kids for 9 days while Dad and I went up to Logan Ut.

The drive up to Logan took us through empty parts of the US that were barren yet beautiful.

On the drive up we saw this beautiful triple rainbow. A great reminder of God's promises for all of us.

Dad gave a talk at the conference and did a fantastic job. There was standing room only!

He also had a booth that he and some of his co-workers manned through out the week.

And a picture of me just to prove I was there. :)

Concert at the Capitol

On a recent trip to DC I went for a run on the Washington Mall. I Skyped with Jamie and the kids at the Washington Monument and then ran down to the Capitol steps. As I ran up the steps I saw the Navy Band warming up for a concert and decided to come back after my run. It turned out to be a beautiful sunset and concert.

On Wheels

Jamie had to go to a training so I had the kids for a few hours on Saturday. We decided to take a bike ride and pulled the trailer out for Peter and Joseph. They loved it! I haven't taken them in it in a year and now that they're much older they loved the wind whipping in on them as we rode. Eli and Eva did an awesome job riding all the way to SB, the park, and then back home.

A beautiful Evening Run

The sun was setting and painting the clouds on the Sandia's a bright red.

A view of the sun setting next to Mt. Taylor.

Hat day at AWANA

It was hat day at AWANA and our little men sported the Red Sox pride!

The Puggles and Cubbies end 15 minutes earlier than the Sparks so Eva, Peter, and Joseph watch the last bit of the Elijah's award time. Here the two of them spotted Eli across the gym and waved hi at the same time.

Mary and Brandon's Wedding

This past May we traveled back to the midwest for my sister's wedding. It was a wonderful of time of celebration. The whole family was together for a number of days and we enjoyed hanging out, playing games, good conversations, and of course Mary and Brandon's wedding.

Mary and Brandon reserved a roller skating rink for the fam and we all enjoyed roller skating to the oldies.

We are so thankful for Brandon and are so excited about him joining the family! Mary was so beautiful as the bride and Eli was the ring bearer and Eva was the flower girl.

The family is growing!

The service was held in a beautiful church. Seeing as we were enjoying the wedding, I didn't get any pictures of the actual wedding, but it was very God honoring and a beautiful service.

We had the reception at the Euler Science center at Taylor University where dad taught for over 20 years and where he and Jon helped design the building.
