Update on our twins

Hello family!
> We wanted to update you on our last few weeks before our twins are born.
>
> I am in week 33 of 37 weeks (best case scenario.)  We want the babies to "stay in" as long as possible, though the doctors will not let my pregnancy go beyond 37 weeks.  If I do not go into labor before 37 weeks, they will induce me to reduce complications.  The babies are sharing a placenta, and as they get bigger the placenta can become taxed, and there is potential for danger.  April 12 (or thereabouts) is the date we're looking at as the latest they'll be born. I am showing no signs of preterm labor (thankfully) and all predictions are that I will go the full 37 weeks, which is great for the babies' development, particularly their lungs.  At the moment they are weighing in at 4.5 pounds a piece which is WONDERFUL news, though that does mean I have 9+ pounds of baby in my belly!
>
> I am exhausted, and feeling pretty miserable, as you can imagine.  I am trying to stay positive, and take it easy.  It is far too easy for me to overdo it when I feel good, and pay for it later.  Thankfully, Mom Voss is going to come April 4th and will be staying for 3 weeks, helping out at the end of the pregnancy, and when the babies will be born.  Mom and Dad Otten will be coming after that, staying down in ABQ for the month of May.  This help is soooo appreciated!!
>
> The kids are very excited about their baby brothers. They pray for them daily, and talk about them constantly.  Elijah is trying to figure out personalities of "Baby A" and "Baby B" (for example, "Baby B really loves to run, since he kicks a lot!") and Eva talks to them through my belly often. :)
>
>  Keep us in your prayers!  We are trusting God to give grace as it is needed.
> Love,
> Jamie, David, Elijah and Eva

Grunting baby

Eva was grunting loudly in the car.

David: Eva, what's going on?
Eva: Baby pooping!

We turned around to see her holding her baby doll over the cup holder makeshift potty. Ha!

Potty training must be a success? :)

Elijah's 1st lab report

Elijah did a science experiment at the Preschool Mother's Day Out he attended today.  He wrote words and was very proud of his diagram!

Harder than you thought...

Out-of-the-blue Elijah: Mommy, having kids must be harder than you thought!

Hahaha!!

Baby Shower for the Twins!

My sweet friends Katie and Tiffany threw me a baby shower for the baby boys today!  It was so sweet!  We had a nautical theme, as that is how we are decorating the baby boys' room.

The little ladies got to join in the fun.  Kennedy and Eva had a great time!

Me and my little girl!
She stripped off her tights, her cute sparkly shoes and her hair bow the moment we got there, but still was cute in her little monogrammed chevron dress. :)

We especially loved the mini Rebel Donuts (our favorite local donut shop)

The ladies decorated bibs for the boys.

Cute, Lenore!

Kennedy and Eva helped open all the presents.  People were so generous!  We are well stocked with wipes and diapers, which is exactly what we need!  The ladies brought childrens' books instead of cards, which is such a great idea!

Soccer!!

The kids got up from nap/quiet time and declared it to be "Time for soccer!!" They insisted on soccer clothes. 31 weeks preggo with twins, and I'm still playing soccer with the littles. Don't worry, my pace wasn't much faster than a waddle!
