Little ballerinas...

Eva and Averlee couldn't stop smiling. First they read a fairytale, then got princess costumes, then learn a dance to the music. Today they were Ariel the Little Mermaid.

Colorado: tea, sculptures, and cousins!

We took a trip to Colorado this summer, tagging along with David who had a work trip, staying with Matt and Corrie (and little Faith!) and going to Boulder.

The kids and I loved touring Celestial Seasonings tea factory while David worked. Here are Peter and Joseph demonstrating the powerful affects of Sleepytime Tea (see Peter pretending to snore!)

We stopped by the sculpture garden at the Leanin' Tree Museum of Western Art. We especially liked the sculptures marked "Climb on Me!"

Impressed by the Sacajawea sculpture, and the baby on her back.

Elijah loved the "Iron Horse" sculpture made of tools and gears.

Eva found a little burro just her size!

We love the Colorado Railroad Museum in Golden. The kids and I spent all day checking out the trains, playing in the coal pile, ringing the bells, pretending to drive, climbing around the engines, and listening to the guides.

Eva and Faith adore each other. These little girl cousins have a sweet bond. Faith followed Eva around everywhere she went.

Corrie and I had a great time visiting and hanging out, just "doing life" together. 

They have an amazing library right by their house.

A perfect afternoon for little girls!

Deanna and Tom have baby bunnies. Eva and I got to bunny sit. We loooooved it.

David surprised us with free tickets to the Isotopes game, so off we went! We had a blast. After a few innings, the kids got antsy, and so we moved over to roll down the hill for a while, while we watched the sunset over the game.

How sweet it is when your family are also your friends!! We love these brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews!

As you can tell, these Voss cousins had fun!

David and I discovered Napoli Coffee has a kid's corner! I went on a quest to try as many local coffee shops as I could this summer, and this was a great find. Good coffee AND a chance to visit!

We spent our days at the pool. Summer is made for days like this!

Elijah and Eva both did very well swimming, and Peter and Joseph took to the water in their floaties. We met friends there almost every day.
