Snicker bar science to explain sedimentary, metamorphic, and igneous rock! Lots of heat and pressure applied... Candy is their kind of science. They were super motivated. :)

Jamie's birthday

I told my sweet Elijah how my brother always made a birthday scavenger hunt for me, and Elijah made one for me! So sweet.

For my birthday, David and I got to go eat at Joe's Pasta House, watch the new Star Wars, have a getaway in a hotel, sleep in, coffee and pastry for breakfast, then come home to happy kids with their Oma and Poppi. Awesome birthday!

Civil Emergency

Although you have to give New Mexico the benefit of he doubt seeing as we live in a desert technically it still makes us chuckle when it snows here and everybody freaks out. We had several inches of snow and Albuquerque declared a civil emergency. Granted the snow conditions vary greatly at the various altitudes so our part of ABQ wasn't as hard hit, but it sure isn't like up in North.
