Halloween 2016

Pumpkin carving with our friends from Australia :)

Once upon a time, Princess Belle was sitting in the garden reading, protected by her brave ninja bodyguard, when all of a sudden, from the pages of her book appeared the Cat in the Hat, Thing 1 and Thing 2, and the Mother with her goldfish...

ID Cards

Like many places of work I have an ID badge to get into my area. On a recent visit to work I gave the kids some of my old conference badges as "IDs" for their kids company they pretend they have which they call "VP". However, they didn't want my conference badges they wanted real IDs... so we decided to make them some tonight.

each of them picked their own space picture and we added their name and picture. They turned out pretty cool. I love their ID pictures which you can see below.

Play dough

Peter played with play dough for 2 HOURS. He loved it. He sat long after his siblings moved on and had all the little pieces to himself. :)

Eva's 1st lost tooth

Eva lost her first tooth today at school just before class started. She was thrilled. Her pre-K class cheered for her, and one of the mom helpers brought her down to my classroom where Elijah and I could cheer some more.
Sweet girl. I remember when she grew that tooth.
She told me she is a big girl now. What a big week for her, turning 5 and losing a tooth!

A sea of gold

We continued our yearly traditions by heading up to Santa Fe to see the Aspens turn yellow. It was a gorgeous day, and a gorgeous scenery. With dad and mom with us we filled up the car. We placed the boys in the back and it was amazing how much they look alike (triplets... just one of them born a few years ahead of the other).

The drive to the top of the Santa Fe mountain was beautiful.

We reached Aspen Vista near the top of the mountain and embarked on a hike through the fields of gold.

The kids had a great time wondering through nature with Peter and Joseph hiking the whole way.

A bike ride on the Bosque

For the first time we were able to all go on a bike ride together with Oma and Pappi. It was a beautiful day and the trees were just starting to turn down by the bosque. Eva did so well on her bike as did Eli. Peter and Joseph were great in the trailer. In all we did almost 6 miles.

Green Chile Peeling

We have our yearly tradition of roasting and peeling green chili's with our good friends. You always need to wear gloves as it can have a lingering affect if you don't. We then end the evening with making green chili quesadillas which is amazing.
